PHOENIX -- A man who was holed up in a Phoenix apartment Tuesday morning has been taken into custody without incident.
Phoenix police cordoned off a neighborhood near Missouri and 27th avenues for a couple of hours.
Sgt. Trent Crump said police were looking for a person wanted for questioning in a shooting that happened last week. That shooting was not life-threatening. Police also were looking for him in a possible drug matter.
Family members called police after the man reportedly showed up to apologize to his aunt for shooting her.
That male, who is approximately 19 years old, holed up in the apartment after police arrived. Relatives said he was not armed and was just scared to come out.
Police obtained a search warrant and entered the home.
