PHOENIX -- The Valley man who admitted to using a church as a front for his prostitution business will have to wait a little longer to find out his punishment.

On Friday it was announced that Wayne Clayton’s sentencing has been continued until November 19.

Clayton, 58, was arrested in September 2011 after police conducted a raid at the Phoenix Goddess Temple near 24th Street and Thomas Road.

Police said the church had tried to cover up their prostitution business by claiming that their sexual services were spiritually healing visitors.

Officers had spent about six months investigating the Phoenix Goddess Temple and two other locations in Sedona.

This past July, Clayton pleaded guilty to one count of facilitation to commit illegal control of an enterprise.
