Black Theatre Troupe presents Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award winner TWO TRAINS RUNNING. In this epic work August Wilson gives us mesmerizing look at black experience in Pittsburgh, 1969. The regulars of Memphis Lee’s restaurant are struggling to cope with the turbulence of a world that is rapidly changing around them and fighting it back whenever they can. The restaurant – and the rest of the block – is scheduled to be torn down as part of the city’s urban renewal plans. As these unsung men and women of “loud voices and big hearts” continue to search and sometimes falter, they hope they are prepared to catch whichever train will make the difference. Performance days and times are: Friday and Saturday Evenings at 8:00 P.M.; Sundays at 3:00 P.M. with additional matinee performances on Thursday October 18 and on Saturday October 20 at 2:00 P.M.
