PHOENIX -- We are saying goodbye to 100+ temperatures after Wednesday.
By Thursday, expect conditions to drop down to the high 90s, placing us above our 30-year average of 94.
Tuesday, we were 10 degrees above average with overnight lows dropping down into the mid-70s.
Tonight’s low is set for 75. We will still experience nice and mild evenings and very comfortable mornings, however, we still have another very warm day on tap for us on Wednesday.
Our near record heat is due to a very strong ridge of high pressure centered over the Southwest but as a cold front moves into the Rockies and out jet stream dips to the south, we will see a bit of relief from the stronghold of high pressure.
This means a slight drop in our temperatures is on the way. By next week, we should be below the average.
Our weather should start to catch up to the calendar by this weekend.
