PHOENIX -- A surge of moisture from the south means a muggy Friday for most of Arizona.

Valley residents awoke to temperatures in the 60s and 70s this morning, but humidity, which has been near 25 percent other mornings this week, was near 65 percent this morning. The moisture is coming from a dying tropical system, Miriam, in the Pacific.

Light rain fell in southeastern Arizona this morning, with thicker cloud cover across that part of the state as well. But the Valley isn't expected to get any rain and our skies should stay mostly sunny.

The humidity will slowly decrease over the weekend, but afternoon temperatures will increase. Look for a Valley high of about 98 today, 99 Saturday and 101 by Sunday.

Overnight lows are expected to stay in the 70s under mostly clear skies. Don't forget to watch for a beautiful full moon Saturday night!
