Phoenix weather: Mild temperatures for ThursdayPosted: Updated:
PHOENIX -- It was another mild morning across the Valley and the state.
In the High Country, lows dipped to the 30s in spots like Flagstaff, while temperatures in the Valley dropped to the mid 60s for a second morning in a row.
Cloud cover was increasing from the south, thanks to Tropical Storm Miriam. The storm is quickly losing strength and forecast to weaken even more as it moves northwest into colder Pacific waters.
No rain is in the forecast for most of Arizona because of Miriam, but cloud cover will continue today.
The Valley is expected to top out at about 98 degrees this afternoon.
Mostly sunny skies and similar temperatures can be expected for Friday and Saturday.
On Sunday and Monday, a slight warm-up is in the forecast, with Valley highs peaking near 101 degrees.
Overnight lows should stay in the upper 60s to mid 70s for the next week.
