AVONDALE, Ariz. -- Avondale police are asking for the public's help to identify two suspects who robbed a cashier at a Walmart store.

Police responded to an aggravated robbery at the Walmart Supercenter at Dysart Road and Rancho Santa Fe Boulevard at about 8:30 p.m. on Sept. 12.

Avondale police Sgt. Brandon Busse said two African-American males forcibly took an undisclosed amount of money from a cashier working a checkout register.

The two suspects fled on foot. Their whereabouts are unknown and they have not been identified.

One suspect is described as 5 feet 7 inches to 5 feet 9 inches tall, 180 pounds, with short dark hair, a mustache and short goatee. He was wearing a white oversized short-sleeved T-shirt, black basketball-style shorts and gray high-top Converse shoes.

The other suspect is described as 5 feet 7 to 5 feet 9, 160 pounds, with a mustache and goatee. He was wearing a white short sleeved T-shirt, red basketball-style shorts with black on both sides, a black and red hat with an unknown logo on the front, white shoes and black socks. He had a piercing in his right ear with longer hair extending past the back of the hat tied into a small ponytail.

Police released surveillance photos on Tuesday.
