PHOENIX (AP) -- Part of State Route 90 in southeastern Arizona will be used for Cochise County Sheriff Larry Dever's funeral procession Wednesday afternoon, and the Department of Transportation says motorists can expect delays.

Dever died last week in a one-vehicle accident in northern Arizona.

Vehicles carrying family members, friends, dignitaries and law enforcement personnel will travel between Benson and Sierra Vista.

The Department of Transportation says the right lane of eastbound Route 90 near a staging area south of Interstate 10 will be closed a half-hour before the procession begins at 3:30 p.m.

The procession will travel through Whetstone and Huachuca City into Sierra Vista where a memorial service will be held at Buena High School.

The department says motorists will not be permitted to pass the procession.
