MESA, Ariz. -- Students at Mesa Community College have been warned about a possible sex offender hanging out around campus.

Students were sent an email this week alerting them about Brian Downing.

Downing sexually assaulted three females in Arizona, but was eventually allowed to move to Oregon.

While in the Northwest, Downing was accused of assaulting two more women. The youngest victim was 16-years-old.

MCC Professor Laurie Liang spoke with 3TV and said she’s making sure that her students are aware of the danger Downing presents.

“This was so unusual that I called all my female students up to look at his face, because I thought if it was that significant that he’d be shown that they need to be alerted. So I did what I could,” said Liang.

Students who see Downing are being told to call police.
