Phoenix weather: Cool weekend forecastPosted: Updated:
PHOENIX -- Fall doesn't start until Sept. 22, but we're going to get a taste of autumn this weekend across Arizona.
The air mass has dried up significantly as Monsoon 2012 exits and by Saturday morning we're going to see lows in the 30s and 40s in the mountains of our state. In the Valley, lows will range from the mid-60s to low-70s. Yes, set your alarm just to get out there and enjoy.
High temps will increase slightly, but we're still expecting only upper 90s through the weekend for metro Phoenix. That's a little bit below average. In the high country, highs will generally be in the 70s and 80s and no rain is expected ANYWHERE in the state this weekend.
