PHOENIX -- A Valley school teacher’s allegedly inappropriate behavior has him facing multiple criminal charges.

John Frank Todorich, 55, has been arrested on one count of molestation of a child and two counts of luring a minor for sexual exploitation.

Todorich was working as a P.E. teacher at Phoenix Elementary School in 2010 when he reportedly fondled a student.

Three witnesses told police that Todorich touched the boy in the area of his genitals while class was taking place. Todorich also reportedly called the boy his “right hand girlfriend.”

Todorich is also accused of starting a Facebook profile last year pretending to be a 16-year-old boy. Todorich, who used a picture of a teen in his profile photo, then started having conversations with a boy under the age of 15.

Todorich allegedly solicited the boy for sexual acts on May 25 and May 26 of 2011. The mother of the boy discovered the Facebook messages in May of this year and called police.

Authorities interviewed Todorich on September 6 and September 7, at which time he admitted that he created a Facebook account claiming to be a 16-year-old boy and had conversations with a minor.

Todorich, however, denied knowing that the boy was a minor, even though the child had mentioned his age at least twice.

Todorich was working at Arroyo Elementary School at the time of his arrest.
