PHOENIX -- Phoenix police arrested two people in connection with a homicide, but they are still searching for several outstanding suspects.

According to Sgt. Trent Crump, two groups became involved in an argument and physical confrontation at a house party in the area of 45th Avenue and Indian School Road early Saturday morning and were asked to leave.

The groups got into two separate vehicles and began to chase each other in a nearby neighborhood at about 1 a.m.

Crump said Jeremy D. Trujillo, 18, began firing a gun out of the passenger's window of the vehicle occupied by Salvador Hernandez, 22. The occupants of the second vehicle returned fire, striking Hernandez.

He was transported to a local hospital where he later died from his injuries.

The second vehicle fled the scene and has not been found. It is described as a black or red four-door Cadillac, approximately a 2008 model, with tinted windows and custom rims. It may have damage from gunshots.

Trujillo was arrested on charges of first-degree murder and drive-by shooting. Andrew R. Garcia, 20, was arrested on charges of drive-by shooting and possession of marijuana.

Police are still looking for the occupants of the Cadillac. The two front-seat occupants were described as Hispanic males in their 20s. The back-seat passengers were described as a black male and an unknown female.

Anyone with information about this crime is asked to call the Phoenix Police Department Violent Crimes Bureau at 602-262-6141 or Silent Witness at 480-WITNESS.
