Phoenix weather: Cooler Wednesday weatherPosted: Updated:
PHOENIX -- Unsettled weather continues for Arizona as a low pressure system slowly moves away from the state.
Tuesday's rain left behind high humidity and cooler temperatures for Wednesday morning. Temperatures began the day in the low 70s, with relative humidity also in the 70s.
With even higher humidity in the high country, there were reports of patchy fog in Flagstaff and Sedona, among other spots.
As the storm system pushes to the east today, there is enough lingering moisture and instability to keep a 50 percent chance of storms in the forecast for the high country, especially in Eastern Arizona.
For the Valley, there is a slight chance for an isolated shower or two to stray into town later today.
Otherwise, expect partly sunny skies and a high of about 93 degrees this afternoon. Overnight lows will dip to the 70s.
By tomorrow and through the weekend, afternoon highs will top out near or just below 100 degrees with plenty of sunshine and dry weather.
