WICKENBURG, Ariz. -- Yavapai County authorities found the body of a missing Chino Valley woman Tuesday afternoon.

A search team member found the body of Jaime Andrews, 37, in the desert area around Wickenburg just before 2 p.m.

Andrews had been missing since Sept. 4. Her husband reported her missing on Saturday. He initially thought she had gone to her father's ranch in La Paz County, but she never arrived, according to the Yavapai County Sheriff's Office.

A rancher found her abandoned green 2007 Honda sedan Sunday morning in a remote area west of Wickenburg known as Bullard's Wash. Andrews' dog was found in good condition inside the vehicle and deputies also located her purse, some clothing and a water bottle.

The rancher told deputies he had spoken with Andrews the morning of Sept. 4 at his ranch home located north of Highway 71 and west of Highway 93. Andrews had stopped at his home and asked directions to Alamo Road. She was wearing a black "evening"-type dress at the time.

Deputies found footprints and began tracking their direction. Crews searched the area by ground and air.

The body was transported to the medical examiner pending a cause/manner of death determination.
