Tempe will honor the nearly 3,000 victims of the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks at its ninth annual Healing Field tribute at Tempe Beach Park. The public is invited to view the display of American flags representing victims of that terrible day. A moving display of patriotism and unity, Healing Field is a free event presented by the City of Tempe and the Exchange Club of Tempe.
The event will be:
Sunday, Sept. 9 -Tuesday, Sept. 11
5 a.m. - 11 p.m. each day

Montelucia Resort Job Fair
Montelucia Resort & Spa is currently hiring for several positions across all divisions and will be hosting a job fair this coming Saturday, September 15 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Cordoba room.

Hands On Greater Phoenix
Volunteers are needed to help HandsOn Greater Phoenix with a special 9/11 project - painting the home of a local veteran. Sargent Alejandro Salazar served 8 years in the Marine Corps and deployed three times to Iraq and Afghanistan.  He and his wife and four children live in the Glendale area.

Tanger Outlet
The Tanger Outlet Center opening this fall in Glendale, Arizona will host a Job Fair on Wednesday, September 12, 2012 from noon until 7:00 pm.  It will take place at the Arena located at 9400 West Maryland Avenue in Glendale, (please use Gate 3 Entrance). 


Empty the Shelter
Saturday, Sept. 15, the Arizona Animal Welfare League will have a special program called "Empty the Shelter." It wants to place nearly 300 animals up for adoption that day for discounted adoption fees and a low cost vaccine and microchip clinic.

Adoption specials:
All animals are spayed/neutered,current on vaccines and are micro-chipped.
Puppies 1 year and under are $50
Adult dogs 1 year and older are $25
Kittens under 6 months are $50
Adult cats 6 months and older are $5
All cat/kittens are limited to 2 per family.
