GLENDALE, Ariz. (AP) Arizona Cardinals quarterback John Skelton has been carted off the field after injuring his right ankle against the Seattle Seahawks.

Skelton was injured with 8:33 left in the fourth quarter on Sunday when the pocket collapsed around him and Seattle's Richard Sherman collided with another player into his leg. Skelton was on the field for several minutes before being loaded onto a cart and taken to the locker room.

Skelton won a tight battle with Kevin Kolb to be Arizona's starter and was solid in the first half against the Seahawks before struggling in the second. He finished 14 for 28 for 149 yards with an interception.

Kolb replaced Skelton with the Cardinals trailing 13-10.
