PHOENIX -- Police are asking for the public's help to find two suspects wanted in an armed robbery at a Phoenix gas station.

At approximately 4 a.m. on July 17, the two suspects entered the Tumbleweed Gas Mart at Indian School Road and 27th Avenue and walked directly to the counter.

One suspect pointed a gun at the employee and a customer and demanded money. The other suspect removed cigarettes from the shelf and placed them inside a bag.

Silent Witness coordinator Sgt. Darren Burch said during the robbery, the suspects forced the victims to the floor and threatened to kill them.

After obtaining money and cigarettes both suspects ran out of the store.

"These two suspects are very brazen and outgoing with what they're doing as if they don't have a care in the world who sees them and that's a scary situation," Burch said.

The first suspect is described as a Hispanic male, 18 to 20 years old, with a possible tattoo on his stomach, wearing a blue baseball cap, black T-shirt and armed with a black handgun

The second suspect is described as a heavy-set Hispanic male, 18 to 20 years old, wearing a baseball cap and a gray long-sleeved shirt, possibly to cover up tattoos.

"These guys are very violent in nature," Burch said. "We really are afraid they will end up escalating their violence and hurt somebody.

A reward of up to $1,000 is being offered in the case.
