PHOENIX -- Two men were arrested on burglary charges after a Phoenix Police officer reportedly watched them break into a home.
An officer was working in the area of 31st Avenue and Campbell on Wednesday afternoon when he allegedly saw 19-year-old Gabriel Toledo and 24-year-old Derek Yulwel ride up to a house on their bicycles and knock on the door.
When no one answered, Yulwel and Toledo jumped over a fence and into the backyard.
The officer then saw the men open a window. One of the suspects entered the house while the other served as the lookout.
Additional police units were called, and Yulwel and Toledo were arrested before they could leave the scene.
They have both been charged with burglary and possession of burglary tools.
