PHOENIX -- It’s time for folks in the northwest Valley to see a little weather action Tuesday night. Isolated thunderstorms moved into Surprise and Arrowhead Ranch around 6:30 p.m.

Tuesday night's forecast includes thunderstorms throughout the Valley.

Monday night, it was all about the East Valley when a very isolated cell dropped 1.30 inches of rain in east Mesa. A monsoon microburst caused damage to trees and roofs. Cleanup efforts are still under way at golf courses.

Earlier in the day, powerful thunderstorms throughout the state caused hailstones in Williams at Bearizona. Another round of flood advisories, flash flood warnings and severe thunderstorm warnings were issued by the National Weather Service offices statewide.

Our focus for the rest of the week shifts to the area of low pressure pushing across the California coast. The low will tap into a very moist atmosphere already in place over Arizona. The Valley has a better chance for widespread rainfall Wednesday. Models place the timing of the storm, closer to the evening and overnight hours. Rainfall totals range between .25 to .50 inches of rain.
