Coconino County deputies searching for robbery suspect

BLUE RIDGE, Ariz. -- Deputies in Coconino County are searching for a man believed to be responsible for more than 40 residential burglaries.

Deputies and detectives served search warrants on two homes earlier this month following more than a year-long investigation into the crimes.

On the morning of August 10, investigators searched a home in the Blue Ridge area known to be occupied by 52-year-old Edward Sedillo, Sr.

On that same day, deputies and detectives also searched a home in Winslow that one of Sedillo’s relatives lives in.

During the searches, investigators found more than 150 items that were either known to have been stolen or believed to have been stolen during the robberies.

Some of the property recovered included a vintage jeep, multiple off-road vehicles, several power and hand tools, and a large air compressor.

While conducting their investigation into the burglaries, detectives determined that Sedillo had moved into the neighborhood of Clear Creek Pines Unit Eight around the same time that several burglaries in the area occurred.

Sedillo had been pulled over on July 17, 2011 while driving a pick-up truck. It was later discovered that the truck had been reported stolen and that its vehicle identification number had been changed.

Detectives have also learned that Sedillo is on probation in Navajo County for possession and trafficking of stolen property.

Sedillo was not home when either of the search warrants were served, and has yet to be located.

Sedillo is a suspect on multiple counts of residential burglary, possession of stolen property, trafficking of stolen property, and probation violation.

Sedillo's described as Hispanic with black hair and brown eyes. He is approximately 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighs around 160 pounds.
