PHOENIX -- Our chance of getting some monsoon storms is increasing over the next couple of days, as temperatures finally decrease.
Thursday morning started off mostly cloudy in the Valley, with light showers to our south and east. Overnight lows dropped to the 80s, but temperatures are expected to warm to about 104 degrees this afternoon.
There is a chance for afternoon and evening thunderstorms later today, with thunder, lightning, strong winds, blowing dust and rain possible.
If we don't see those storms develop in the Valley today, storms become a bit more likely tomorrow.
Storm chances continue through the weekend, with afternoon highs topping out only near only 100 degrees.
