Woman fatally stabbed in Glendale

GLENDALE, Ariz. -- Police are investigating the fatal stabbing of a woman in Glendale.

Victoria Lacey, 25, was stabbed in the chest near Orangewood and 47th avenues at about 4:15 a.m. Monday.

Sgt. Brent Coombs said the woman walked up to a home in the area of 47th Avenue and Frier Drive, banged on a door and asked for help.

Police were called and she was able to tell officers her name but nothing about the person who stabbed her.

The woman died from her wounds.

Investigators are canvassing the area to gather evidence and are asking anyone with information about the murder to call the Glendale Police Department at 623-930-3000.
