PHOENIX -- The extreme heat appears to be coming to an end, but not for at least a couple more days.
An excessive heat warning for the Valley has been extended through Tuesday at 8 p.m.
The high on Sunday was 115, and on Monday temperatures are expected to reach 114.
The high will remain above 110 on Tuesday before finally getting back down into the low 100s by the end of the work week.
The chance for some rain will also pick up later in the week, and is expected to continue all through next weekend.
