SHOW LOW, Ariz. -- Golfers found a body floating in a pond at a golf course near Show Low early Thursday morning.

The golfers at Juniper Ridge Resort called the Navajo County Sheriff's Office dispatch center to report the body.

NCSO deputies and detectives from the Criminal Investigations Unit responded and found Floyd Doolittle, 88, of Juniper Ridge Resort, floating face down in the pond.

Detectives learned Doolittle had been walking by the pond carrying a golf bag with clubs. Evidence suggested Doolittle stumbled into the pond after suffering a medical issue.

His golf bag, clubs, glasses and hearing aid where found at the bottom of the pond after it was drained by the maintenance staff at the resort.

The cause of death is under investigation, but detectives don't believe foul play was involved.
