BULLHEAD CITY, Ariz. -- Residents of Bullhead City suffered through some severe weather earlier this week.

Strong winds hit the western Arizona town on Thursday night, knocking out power and damaging parks.

The first night of the Kiwanis Club’s “CannonBall” pre-regatta party at Community Park was also shut down.

Approximately 500 people had to be moved to the Bullhead Area Chamber of Commerce building when the winds blew over tents and portable toilets, broke tree limbs, and knocked down portable lights and speakers.

No injuries were reported, and people were eventually able to return home in their own vehicles once the winds died down.

Friday night’s “CannonBall” may be delayed slightly due to the damage caused by Thursday’s wind. Saturday’s sixth annual River Regatta remains on schedule.
