PEORIA, Ariz. -- Peoria Police are searching for a man suspected of stealing prescription drugs from a CVS store.

On July 31, surveillance footage captured the suspect entering the CVS near 83rd Avenue and Thunderbird and picking up several items throughout the store.

The man then went to the prescription drop off counter where he asked the pharmacy technician about a few of the items.

While the employee was looking at the items, the suspect put a note on the counter demanding oxycodone. He also grabbed his waist band to indicate that he may have a gun.

The suspect was given pills and then fled the store on foot.

The suspect is described as an African-American male in his early 20s. He’s between 5 feet 9 inches and 5 feet 11 inches tall, and was wearing a gray Boston Red Sox hat with a sticker on it.
