PHOENIX -- A Tempe man has been sentenced for attacking a female employee at the Arizona Grand Resort late last year.
Michael Martinez, 30, was sentenced on Wednesday to lifetime probation with mental health and sex offender terms. He also received 12 months deferred jail as part of his probation.
Martinez was arrested back in December after an employee at the Arizona Grand Resort told police that Martinez had run into the bathroom while she was washing her hands.
The woman was knocked to the ground during the attack, but was eventually able to escape. Martinez was detained by security until law enforcement arrived.
In June, Martinez entered a guilty plea to charges of attempted kidnapping and attempted sexual assault.
