Tips to save money on back-to-school shoppingPosted: Updated:
PHOENIX -- Shoppers will save quite a bit money if they know how much items cost at the different stores. So many stores are willing to ad match now, and that will allow you to enjoy all of the "door-buster" deals without driving all over town.
Bring coupons! Staples has a coupon for $5 off your purchase of $50 or more; Target offers printable coupons on their website; H&M has a coupon for 20-percent off kids clothes, and many other stores have great printable deals, too.
Get social with your favorite stores on Facebook to find out what special deals they're offering.
Follow blogs! Alicia's Deals in AZ, for example, keeps track of the best deals in town to save you money.
From the blog
Totsy: Click here to check out their deals on lots of fun school supplies. Sigg Water Bottles are from $9.75 (usually $17.99). Even better, you’ll enjoy FREE SHIPPING on your first order (and you won’t have to leave your house)!
If you don’t have much time to get around to the stores for your back-to-school shopping, don’t forget that Walmart will let you ad match! Get all of the best prices in one stop (as long as they have the same brand/quantity/etc.). Click here for more specifics on their ad match guarantee. My favorite deals:
Clorox or Lysol Disinfecting Wipes: $4.88/3-pack
Cra-Z-Art Glue Sticks: $.25/3 pack (WOW!)
Cra-Z-Art washable markers: $.50/pack
Sterilite pencil box: $.97
Filler paper: $.82/150 pages

You can definitely ask your local Target store if they’ll match the prices in the other ads!

Target printable coupons are great…make sure you take a look! Don’t forget you can use them on top of manufacturers’ coupons (for the same item).
