Phoenix weather: Storm chances back in the forecast
By Catherine Holland
PHOENIX -- Friday morning brought light showers and isolated thunderstorms to Northern and Eastern Arizona. Those storms should become more numerous over the next couple of days as monsoon moisture increases in our atmosphere.
Our dry, westerly flow that limited storms the past few days is quickly being replaced by a humid, southeasterly flow. There is only a slight chance of storms in the Valley today, with partly sunny skies and an afternoon high of 108 expected.
A slight chance of storms is forecast for the Valley on Saturday, too, with a better chance Sunday, Monday and Tuesday of next week.
Temperatures will peak closer to 103 by those days, as well. Overnight lows should continue to stay in the 80s.
