Phoenix weather: warm temperatures expected through the weekend

PHOENIX -- Unseasonably warm weather is expected to continue for metro Phoenix through the weekend. That means we’re looking at highs in the 105-110 range.
We are going to work on a return of the monsoon. There is a slight chance for showers and thunderstorms on Saturday, and a slightly better chance for monsoon storms on Sunday. Most of the storms will be in eastern and southeast Arizona.
Thursday's high as of 4 p.m. was 107 at Sky Harbor Airport.
For those of you headed to the Cardinals scrimmage on Saturday, there's a 40% chance for thunderstorms in the area and Flagstaff temperatures will be around 80.
