AVONDALE, Ariz. -- Police are asking for the public's help to identify a suspect in an attempted bank robbery.

Police said an African-American female entered the Bank of America inside the Fry's Food Store near McDowell and Dysart roads in Avondale at approximately 12:40 p.m. on July 13.

The suspect handed the teller a demand note in an attempt to rob the bank. She did not receive any money and left the store.

Police have released surveillance photos of the suspect and are asking for the public's help in identifying her.
