Phoenix weather: Mild TuesdayPosted: Updated:
PHOENIX -- It was a stormy Monday across parts of Northern and Southern Arizona, but the Valley stayed dry. That's a weather pattern that looks to continue for most of the rest of the workweek ahead.
Storms should become more limited across the state as our monsoon flow of moisture is replaced by a dry, southwesterly flow. Relative humidity Tuesday morning was around 30 percent, compared to 60 percent the morning before.
Look for partly sunny skies throughout the day, with an afternoon high near 101 degrees. That's about five degrees below average for this time of year.
Overnight lows should dip to the mid 70s and low 80s under mostly clear skies.
Afternoon emperatures will slowly rise this week, eventually peaking at about 108 degrees by Friday.
By Friday, the Valley will see a slight chance of thunderstorms and rain, with a better chance over the weekend.
