MARICOPA, Ariz. -- A Maricopa man was arrested Friday after a Circle K clerk recognized him from an armed robbery at the store in May.
Yoan Luna, 20, entered the convenience store at 19864 N. John Wayne Parkway early Friday morning and was recognized by the same store employee he robbed on May 20, according to the Maricopa Police Department.
The clerk called 911 and officers took Luna into custody on unrelated failure to appear warrants.
Detectives questioned Luna, who was already an investigative lead in the robbery. He reportedly admitted to his involvement and said he acted alone.
He told detectives that he was under the influence of meth at the time of the crime.
Luna was booked into the Pinal County Sheriff's Detention Center on charges of failure to appear and a felony charge of armed robbery.
