Average gas price in Arizona continues to decrease

PHOENIX -- Arizona residents continue to enjoy lower prices at the pump.
For the 14th consecutive week gas prices have decreased throughout the state. The average price of gas dropped 5.2 cents to $3.350 per gallon.
The East Valley has the lowest fuel average in the state at $3.265 per gallon, while Flagstaff drivers pay the most for gas at $3.562 per gallon.
While Arizona motorists are enjoying decreasing prices, 33 other states and the District of Columbia have seen prices go up. The largest increases have come in the Midwest where average prices have gone up by more than 10 cents over the last week.
“Several areas across the country are experiencing an uptick in pump prices in response to crude’s recent price swing,” explained Linda Gorman, director of communications and public affairs for AAA Arizona. “Given current market factors, Arizona still has some catching up to do, which should drive prices even lower in the short-term, barring unforeseen circumstances.”
