GLENDALE, Ariz. -- Police are asking for the public’s help in finding a man who committed armed robbery late last month.

On the morning of June 25, a Hispanic man approached an employee who was opening a Checksmart at 5402 W. Glendale Avenue.

The suspect threatened the employee with a gun, and then escorted the employee to a room that contained a safe.

The man took an undisclosed amount of money from the safe and then fled the scene either on foot or on a skateboard.

The suspect is said to be about 5 feet 6 inches tall and weighing 150 pounds. He had facial hair, and was last seen wearing a hat, sunglasses, a hooded sweatshirt, and sweatpants.

Police are asking anyone with any information to call Silent Witness at 480-WITNESS, or visit silentwitness.org.
