WINSLOW, Ariz. -- The Federal Aviation Administration said a plane crashed in Winslow Wednesday afternoon, killing one of the two people inside.
Ian Gregor from the Federal Aviation Administration said the plane was home built, and described as a Cozy Canard III. It was taking off from the Winslow-Lindbergh Regional Airport when, for unknown reasons, it crashed at the end of the runway.
The plane was registered to Joseph F. Tischler out of Thousand Oaks, California.
Officials said one person died in the crash. The other occupant was last reported to be in serious condition.
Both the FAA and NTSB will be investigating the cause of the crash.
