PHOENIX -- It was 96 degrees already at 8:30 a.m. Monday, 90 minutes before an Excessive Heat Warning was set to take effect.
The morning low was 92 degrees, tying the record warm low for today's date, set back in 2010.
The Valley is likely to top out near 113 degrees today and tomorrow under partly sunny skies both days.
While there is a slight chance of storms and blowing dust both days, there will be an increasing chance of storms Wednesday through Saturday.
The Excessive Heat Warning is from 10 a.m. Monday through Wednesday morning, as overnight lows are likely to stay in the low 90s again tomorrow night and into Wednesday morning.
By Wednesday afternoon, storm chances increase, humidity increases and temperatures come back down to what is normal for this time of year, with highs forecast around 107.
