PHOENIX -- A former school bus driver in Mesa has changed his plea in his child molestation case.

On Friday, Billy Bryant, 64, pled guilty to three counts of molestation of a child and one count of aggravated assault.

Bryant was arrested in November of 2010 after he lured a 9-year-old girl into his car and groped her.

The child’s father was a witness to the attack, and was able to pull his daughter from Bryant’s vehicle. The father was also able to get Bryant’s license plate number, which he provided to police.

Bryant was arrested, and initially pleaded not guilty to the charges.

Bryant had previously worked as a bus driver for a charter school in Mesa. He was fired in 2009 after being accused in another molestation case.

Bryant is now due back in court on August 13 for sentencing.
