YAVAPAI COUNTY, Ariz. -- The wreckage of a helicopter that was carrying four people has been found in Yavapai County.
An Aerospatiale AS350 helicopter left Scottsdale on Saturday morning on its way to Sedona. The helicopter was reported overdue when it never arrived in Sedona.
Search crews began searching for the helicopter on Saturday. On Sunday morning, a private pilot reported seeing aircraft wreckage just south of Camp Verde.
The Yavapai County Sheriff’s Department has confirmed that the wreckage is that of the missing helicopter.
The helicopter is registered to Jest Enterprises in Scottsdale. Jest Enterprises is owned by Ray and Donna Perry, who also own the Valley's Arriba Mexican Grill restaurant chain.
There’s no word on the four people who were inside the helicopter.
