PHOENIX -- Several kids from the Gilbert Boys & Girls Club got to enjoy a night at the circus with a professional athlete.

Arizona Cardinals cornerback Greg Toler took 100 kids to the circus Friday night at the US Airways Center.

Toler wanted to show the kids that people care about them and that they can overcome any obstacle to achieve their dreams.

“I see they wanted to get out. They were doing good with their classes, so I told them if they keep up the good work I’d take them out to have a good time at the circus,” Toler said.

All of the kids who joined Toler on the trip were wearing shirts that featured the word Em”BRACE.”

Toler missed all of the 2011 season with a knee injury. He’ll be forced to wear a protective brace during the 2012 campaign, which is what inspired the word Em”BRACE”.

“I just need to get out there more and just show people that we are regular people and we’re human just like them, we just play football for a living,” Toler added.
