Man indicted for murder on Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian ReservationPosted: Updated:
PHOENIX -- A Mesa man has been charged in the murder of a Native American man on the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Reservation.
On Tuesday, a federal grand jury returned a single count indictment against Tommy Eugene Medley Jr., 23, charging him with second-degree murder.
Medley allegedly killed the victim on or about June 16. He was arrested the following day.
Medley will remain in federal custody pending trial.
If convicted of second-degree murder, Medley faces a maximum penalty of life in prison, and a $250,000 fine.
