Police seek suspect in aggravated assault at Jack in the Box

TEMPE, Ariz. -- The Tempe Police Department is asking for the public's help locating a suspect involved in an aggravated assault at a fast-food restaurant last month.

The incident occurred at approximately 3:13 a.m. on May 20 at a Jack in the Box near Mill Avenue and University Drive in downtown Tempe.

Tempe police Sgt. Jeff Glover said the suspect punched the victim in the face, causing him to fall backward and hit his head on the pavement. The victim sustained several skull fractures, as well as swelling and bleeding on the brain.

The suspect is described as a white male in his early 20s, 5 feet 8 inches tall with a thin build and dark-colored hair. He was wearing a dark gray T-shirt, blue jeans and sneakers at the time.

A person who was with the suspect is described as a white male in his early 20s, 5 feet 8 inches tall with a thin build and "mop top"-style hair. He was wearing a maroon shirt, blue jeans and sneakers.
