PINE-STRAWBERRY, Ariz. -- Water officials in the Pine-Strawberry area said it's okay for residents to use their water again.
Earlier this week, the Pine Strawberry Water Improvement District asked its customers to refrain from using water. They said that they were having a hard time maintaining a consistent supply of water in their system.
The reason for the problem was due to extremely high temperatures coupled with increased water usage. There were also some mechanical issues in nearby wells.
Water officials said the wells are returning to normal levels and testing of the water shows that it is safe to drink.
Even though all water usage can resume back to normal, officials are asking residents to always conserve water when they can.
