PHOENIX -- A teenager on his way home from work wound up in his neighbor's pool Thursday night.

Phoenix Police said the teen admitted to staying up the whole night playing video games before going to his job at a movie theater.  After his shift, he fell asleep driving home.

The teen was uninjured, but taken to the hospital as a precaution. No one in the yard, near 53rd Avenue and Happy Valley Road, was hurt either.

"It's just some property damage.  It'll be fine as long as they have good insurance," homeowner George Moriarty said with a smile.

Moriarty's daughter slept through the crash inside the home.

"I woke up to make some tea and freaked out, yelling, 'Ah- there's a car in the pool,'" Polina Novitskaya told 3TV.

The Ford Edge crossover vehicle crashed through a 7-foot block wall before nearly completely submerging in the backyard pool.

A tow truck with a crane later arrived to hoist it out.
