SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. -- Scottsdale Police arrested a 93-year-old man last weekend after he allegedly got behind the wheel while intoxicated.

Julius Elmer Grosso was at a Zipps sports bar last Saturday night where he reportedly consumed six shots in two hours.

An employee tried to get Grosso to take a cab home, but he insisted on driving. The employee then called police after Grosso had trouble getting out of his parking space.

Police were able to locate Gross and pull him over. Officers said Grosso’s eyes were watery and his speech was slurred.

Grosso was reportedly uncooperative with police and refused to get out of his vehicle. Officers were forced pull Grosso from the car in order to place him in handcuffs.

He was eventually booked into jail for aggravated DUI, failure to obey an officer, and resisting an order to control a motor vehicle.

According to records, Grosso’s license had already been revoked for a previous DUI.
