PHOENIX -- Air quality has improved but Thursday looks to be another scorcher.  Look for high temperatures this afternoon near 109 degrees under clear skies. Overnight lows will dip to the 70s and low 80s.

Tomorrow, temperatures will top out near 110 under mostly sunny skies, but they'll drop off a bit over the weekend as humidity increases.

Monsoon moisture is forecast to move into Arizona from the south, prompting storm chances Saturday through next week. Our best chance for Valley storms is during the afternoon and evening hours on Sunday and Monday.  Highs will top out near 105 degrees.

Smoke from the Poco Fire was not affecting the Valley like it was on Wednesday morning.  The health watch for particulates is no longer in effect.

However, there is another Ozone Health Watch today, and those with sensitive respiratory systems are urged to limit their time outside. Everyone is urged to carpool if they can and refuel after dark.
