PHOENIX -- Police are trying to determine what led to the brutal deaths of two men inside their locked Phoenix rental home.

The bodies of Jorge Garcia, 35, and Ignatio Barrajas, 29, were found by their landlord Monday afternoon.

According to Sgt. Trent Crump of the Phoenix police department, the owner of the house, which is in the neighborhood southwest of Seventh Street and Broadway Road, had gone over to check on the men because nobody had seen them for a couple of days.

The house was locked up and nobody answered the door. Police said the owner looked through a window and saw one of the victims lying on the floor.

At that point, the landlord forced his way into the home and saw that both men were dead, having suffered "severe trauma." He immediately called the police.

Investigators have not released any details about the nature the trauma the men suffered nor do they know how long they had been dead. Detectives also have not said anything about the relationship between Garcia and Barrajas.

Trump said investigators have no suspect information and no clear motive for the killings.

If you know anything about what happened to Garcia and Barrajas, you're asked to call the Phoenix Police Department at 602-262-6151 or Silent Witness at 480-WITNESS (948-6377), 1-800-343-TIPS (8477) or 480-TESTIGO (837-8446).
