PHOENIX -- A Phoenix Police officer avoided serious injury after a pickup truck collided with his SUV on Saturday morning at 75th Avenue and Thomas.
The officer was traveling northbound on 75th Avenue when the truck failed to stop at a red light and struck the officer’s vehicle.
The officer suffered some scrapes and bruises and was taken to a local hospital.
It took about 30 minutes for rescue crews to remove the two passengers inside the truck from their vehicle. They suffered a few broken bones and were taken to the hospital with injuries that are said to be non-life threatening.
Police said it’s fortunate that no one lost their life in the accident.
