MESA, Ariz. -- A Mesa man was arrested on Monday for allegedly stealing a PlayStation 3 and pool water.

The apparent theft, which police said occurred on May 21, was reportedly captured by a surveillance camera.

Police said Manuel Ovalle, 35, admitted to stealing water from a pool after they showed him pictures of him going into his neighbor's yard near Adobe and Higley roads.

According to Mesa police, the video recordings showed Ovalle attempting to get into windows and at one point walking away from the home with two dark-colored bags.

Upon further questioning by police, Ovalle acknowledged that he did indeed go into his neighbor's yard and took water out of the pool and a PlayStation 3 from the home.

When asked why he did this, he said that he had no running water at his house. He also had no electricity.

Ovalle faces one count of second-degree burglary and one count of theft.
