TEMPE, Ariz. -- Four Peaks Brewery in Tempe will be welcoming the return of a special flag this holiday weekend.

On Sunday, 20 National Guardsmen will visit Four Peaks to mount the flag they were flying in Iraq on the restaurant’s wall.

Arizona Army National Guard soldier Tyler Stonebreaker wrote to Four Peaks last year and asked if they could fly a Four Peaks flag at Camp Taji in Iraq.

Stonebreaker explained that they had flags of several Arizona sports teams, but wanted one from Four Peaks to help represent the better parts of the state.

Four Peaks quickly had a flag made for Stonebreaker and his fellow soldiers. The flag went on to spend the past year flying on top of the ATC tower at Camp Taji.

The unit has since signed and framed the now tattered flag, and will make it a part of Four Peaks’ décor Sunday at noon.
